With our Glass-Fused-to-Steel (GFS) bolted steel panel tanks you get the highest engineered quality, best service, longest product life and greatest value available.
GFS or our vitreous enamel coating is the perfect system for bolted steel tanks combining the strength and flexibility of steel with glass with the highest chemical resistance.
Our glass coating is designed to produce an extremely strong chemical bond to the steel during the fusion process. This places the glass in compression and it remains in compression even when the steel bends and flexes. Our glass coatings are designed to deliver strength and durability while the steel is in tension due to the contents load. GFS coatings are both chemically fused and physically combined with the steel substrate resulting in an unmatched, tough and durable bond.
Coatings are fused to steel at temperatures ranging from 760 to 860 Degree C, which fuses the two materials.
Glass is impermeable to liquids and vapours, it eliminates corrosion undercutting and offers excellent impact and abrasion resistance.
Applied to both interior and exterior surface, GFS is able to provide many years of trouble free service in the harshest environments.
Our Glass-Fused-to-Steel sheets are 100% guaranteed – meaning only defect free sheets are released to the market place.
We offer a complete range of GFS coatings to satisfy a complete range of storage applications.
